Gisela.
Gisela, this lady who radiates strength and tenderness in her eyes, was born in Cuba, works as an administrative assistant at a school in Havana, and lives every day with the cowardly reality imposed by the US embargo and by the inability of local politics to find alternatives capable of guaranteeing a more dignified life for Cubans. Gisela is the manifestation of resilience.
Nietzsche was right
Music soothes me, restores me, embraces me, and comforts me. Music is the hope that can be heard, the love that vibrates, and the only religion that reconnects.
deezer
I just click on a miserable button called play and I lose all my shame and ask you to dance without having to leave this place. I pass over modesty, the contradiction of guilt without worrying about remorse. I make you fall in love with me, I make nothing else matter without having to suffer afterward.
Real Change News: jobs, journalism, and justice
10% of all sales of my photos will go to Real Change News and consequently to the nearly 600 Seattle homeless vendors that make up the platform. And that's just the beginning. I refuse to watch the degradation of society and do absolutely nothing to change what I don't accept. So, I decided to use photography to build this idea of a fair world. When one grows, everybody grows together.
These eyes that loved too much
The day I photographed my grandmother, she decided not to turn her face to the camera. She preferred to keep her eyes straight ahead as one who prefers to face life's exasperations and her past enemies, with her head held high and with her most powerful weapon: the love in her eyes.
My Father’s Eyes
Your eyes were the only ones able to heal my wounds. They were the only ones able to restore my soul. It was your eyes, finally, that made me strong.
Our eyes are the window to our soul
We laugh, cry, and love through our eyes. Excellent spokespersons, our eyes are honest as they recount the latest developments about the brutal war that takes place every single day inside our fragile bodies. A silent war.
The girl who overflows love through her eyes
I spent nine months imagining what that baby would be like, if a boy or a girl, fat or thin, white or black, bald or hairy. But I had never imagined that my sister would have such beautiful eyes and that they would overflow so much love to me in such a short time.
